Based out of Manchester, Scruff of the Neck is an independent record label and music collective with ears to the ground and eyes to the future.  The indie label are also reputable Manchester gig promoters, a music management company and specialists in various creative outlets which are now integral for the development of artists.  A tireless work ethic has seen the label grow exponentially in both size, and reputation over the course of the last few years, and as a result they’ve rapidly become one of the go-to grass-roots labels in Manchester.

With a roster now consisting of bands from multiple regions in the UK, Scruff has spread both its wings and become a truly national presence, forging relationships with artists and bands nationwide- with their mantra in mind of putting the bands first, and finding the creme in new UK talent.

With a recording studio, live sound & lighting equipment, artist management company aswell as in-house press and media arms, Scruff of the Neck’s enterprises are kept well within the family, a move which has allowed them to build partnerships that go above and beyond that of your typical label/artist relations. It’s this personal level of commitment which has impressed a variety of acts, encouraging them to get on board, a decision which continues to prove intrinsic in getting the ball rolling for a number of bands and artists.
