SCRUFF OF THE NECK RECORDS SINGLES CLUB!

Scruff of the Neck launch innovative new Singles Club with focus on brand new artists unearthed from the concert promotions area of the business.

First Release: Pentire 'Don't Let Your Love (Let You Down)'

Here at Scruff of the Neck, the lifeblood of our business is brand new artists, we want to find & showcase the best bands, first. As such, we are happy to announce our next venture; our newfound 'Singles Club', a series of up to 10 individual single releases a year, all supported by our in-house team throughout the creative, marketing & promotional process.

Avoiding the long-term commitment of signing a lengthy multi-release term, hand-picked talent will sign with us to produce and release an individual single, giving us the possibility to endorse and celebrate each chosen artist and shine a light on one of their songs for a more concise period of time. We will often be working with artists we found through our long established 'live' division to help further grow their audience.

Herefordshire's jangly indie-pop quartet Pentire will be the first artist to release under the Singles Club, with their track 'Don't Let Your Love (Let You Down)' set to be released on Valentines' Day (Wednesday 14th February 2024). The scope of the label will stretch to artists from the UK and beyond, synergised by the signature DIY 'Scruff of the Neck sound' to inject a passion and innovation fuelled campaign supported by some of the platforms in the Scruff of the Neck ecosystem.

Scruff of the Neck Founder Mark Lippmann explains "We're frequently finding new music we love, particularly from our shows and tours, so we wanted to introduce something in between a full blown label deal and our gigs; and the singles club felt like the perfect way to shine a light on the best new bands in a more agile way."

Participating talent will also be encouraged to engage in the Scruff of the Neck community to network and collaborate with previous and existing artists. This can create a range of possibilities, with mutual live and touring opportunities possible as well as platforms such as festival stages a place to connect within the Scruff of the Neck ecosystem.

If you represent or are part of an artist project and feel you would be a good fit for this project, please fill our the Artist Submissions form here. If you have an existing relationship with Scruff of the Neck, just get in touch over email.
