2023!!! Yet again another record breaking year for Scruff of the Neck, full of pioneering moments and fuelled by global ambition, bound together by the plethora of artistic talent we are honoured to represent! Here’s some of the highlights division by division…
Scruff of the Neck Live sold over 30,000 tickets across 200+ shows ranging from 60 to 1,500 with a key focus on brand new and emerging talent. Festival stages included ESNS in Groningen 🇳🇱, SXSW in Austin Texas 🇺🇸, The Great Escape in Brighton UK, Y Not Festival UK and the launch of our very own ‘Year’s End Festival’.
Scruff of the Neck Records catalogue achieved 100 million streams in 2023 as our masters grew to over 300 tracks after 91 releases this year. Media support impacted massively with over 200 UK national radio plays (inc BBC Radio 1 & 6, Kerrang!, Radio X) over 1,000 international plays, key tastemaker press (inc NME, Clash, DIY) and of course significantly support from DSP play listing at Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and Deezer amongst others.
Scruff of the Neck Artist Management roster went from strength to strength with IST IST one place away from a UK Top 40 album all (independently released), breaking Europe selling out shows in the Netherlands and Germany and headlining the O2 Ritz in a a huge statement album launch show. Bloxx made their return after a difficult patch by selling out a headline show to end the year and the release of their ‘Modern Day’ EP (via our label). Our writer/producers again took huge leaps in their careers with Joe Cross’ work on Louis Tomlinson’s ‘Faith In The Future’ album achieving UK silver! Andy Gannon has firmly cemented himself as one of the UK’s coolest and most modern new producers rocking up millions of streams.
We now have the most exciting roster ever and the best team of people to help fulfill the destiny of Scruff of the Neck and our artists. 2024 is most certainly going to be another year where we continue to grow and solidify the business in what will be our 15th year in the music business.
